Why do we put into storage things we no longer need? Are such things then placed temporarily outside of space and time? Is the very idea of storage a mere indication of our culture of surplus, our greed for possessions and more possessions?

Such are the questions that readily come to mind when mundane, everyday objects are covered in layers of plastic stretch wrap. By turning them into veritable cocoons, we also realize just how superfluous some of our earthly possessions really are.
